On Christmas Day 1974 the fledgling Nungalinya College along with the whole of Darwin was ravaged by Cyclone Tracy. Our first principal, Dr Keith Cole, had moved into his new home at Nungalinya with his wife just 9 days earlier. This is a letter he wrote in the aftermath of the cyclone. It’s amazing to look at our beautiful college now and think how far it’s come from the destruction of Christmas Day 50 years ago!
